Two Price Economies in Continuous Time∗

چکیده
Static and discrete time pricing operators for two price economies are reviewed and then generalized to the continuous time setting of an underlying Hunt process. The continuous time operators define nonlinear partial integrodifferential equations that are solved numerically for the three valuations of bid, ask and expectation. The operators employ concave distortions by inducing a probability into the infinitesimal generator of a Hunt process. This probability is then distorted. Two nonlinear operators based on different approaches to truncating small jumps are developed and termed QV for quadratic variation and NL for normalized Lévy. Examples illustrate the resulting valuations. A sample book of derivatives on a single underlier is employed to display the gap between the bid and ask values for the book and the sum of comparable values for the components of the book. JEL Classification: G10, G12, G12.

Dynamic Linkages between Exchange Rates and Stock Prices: Evidence from Iran and South Korea
The main purpose of present study is to analyze the relationship between stock and exchange markets in two Asian countries, Iran and South Korea. A monthly time series of stock price and exchange rate are used over the period 2002: 05 - 2012: 03. The data is collected from the Central Bank of each country and WDI. The calculated stock return and real exchange rate change are used in analysis....
متن کاملDeterministic and Metaheuristic Solutions for Closed-loop Supply Chains with Continuous Price Decrease
In a global economy, an efficient supply chain as a main core competency empowers enterprises to provide products or services at the right time in the right quantity, at a low cost. This paper is to plan a single product, multi-echelon, multi-period closed loop supply chain for high-tech products (which have continuous price decrease). Ultimately, considering components rated to procurement, pr...
متن کاملRadner Equilibria under Ambiguous Volatility
The present paper considers a class of general equilibrium economies when the primitive uncertainty model features uncertainty about continuous-time volatility. This requires a set of mutually singular priors, which do not share the same null sets. For this setting we introduce an appropriate commodity space and the dual of linear and continuous price systems. All agents in the economy are hete...
متن کاملThe Empirical Relationship between Fiscal Deficits and Inflation (Case Study: Selected Asian Economies)
Abstract T he relationship between public sector deficits and inflation is one of the important and controversial issues in the academic literature as well as in economic policy field. On the other hand, a major objective of macroeconomic policies is to foster economic growth and to keep inflation on a low level. So keeping the price stability plays an important role in de...
متن کاملValuation in Illiquid Markets
What is the value of a financial instrument in an illiquid market? The classical valuation theory which is based on the law of one price assumes implicitly that market participants can trade freely in both directions at the same price. In the absence of perfect liquidity the law of one price should be replaced by a two price theory where the terms of trade depend on the direction of the trade. ...
